For 7 dancers, 10 musicians, conductor, live-electronics &live video (80')

In this hybrid music and dance performance, the Daniel Linehan and Stefan Prins explores the contradictions and paradoxes surrounding the concept of privacy.

‘Third Space’ is the result of a close collaboration between choreographer Daniel Linehan and composer Stefan Prins. In this hybrid music and dance performance, the pair explores the contradictions and paradoxes surrounding the concept of privacy. What does privacy still mean in a world of increasing surveillance and ‘oversharing’ of information on social media? What does intimacy still mean? Is the world really becoming more transparent? Together with seven dancers, ten musicians from the Nadar Ensemble and conductor Bas Wiegers, Linehan and Prins create a ‘third space’, an in-between space that neither exclusively real nor entirely virtual. Structured like a course that is repeated twice, ‘Third Space’ plays with the perspective and the perception of the audience.
