In the sensorily overwhelming environment of their daily lives, Yves Goemaere and Elisa Medinilla cling tenaciously to the illusion of focus and control. In search of surgical precision, they dive into the vocal floor of the Pleyel in Studio 3. They build an alienating kind of ‘orchestrion’ around it, surrounded by magnetic sound fields, sansulas, ancient samples and a whole battery of Chinese gongs.
